The footer of every page currently reads: © 2026 Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine. All rights reserved. This wording was carried over from the department's earlier website.
Confirm before launch. The copyright owner named in a published notice is a legal statement. Ask the university whether the correct entity is Nova Southeastern University, the College of Dental Medicine, or another named body, and whether the year should be a single year or a range. Correct the footer on every page if the answer differs.

Clinical Images and Patient Privacy
Clinical material carries obligations beyond copyright, and those obligations are not waived by educational intent.
- Clinical photographs, radiographs, scans, and models of real patients require documented patient authorization before any use on this website, in teaching, or in publication.
- Removing a name is not the same as de-identification. Distinctive features, restorations, dates, and case details can all identify a person.
- Authorization must state clearly what the images may be used for, and use must stay within what was authorized.
- Institutional policy and applicable privacy law both apply, and where they are stricter than a patient's consent, the stricter rule governs.
- No clinical images of real patients appear on this website. The clinical case in the interactive learning activities is fictional and was written for teaching.
Reporting a Copyright Concern
If you believe material on this website infringes your copyright, or that an image has been published without proper authorization, please contact us with the page address, a description of the material, and an explanation of your concern. Reported material will be reviewed and removed while the question is being resolved if that is appropriate.
